On the Verge

Weed /wiːd/

noun: weed;

  1. a wild plant growing where it is not wanted and in competition with cultivated plants.

verb: weed;

  1. remove unwanted plants from (an area of ground).

My goal for this project is to celebrate the abundance of ‘misplaced’ flora and fauna growing in narrow margins of public land. Far too often we live life in the fast lane and don’t stop to notice the smaller details around us….I hope to raise awareness of their significance in our world.

The profusion of wild plants growing on the wayside are nature’s larder they can feed and heal us, they support insect life integral to our existence and their simple beauty inspires us.
